Moving house can be stressful. Not only is it an expensive exercise, but it can test even the most organised of us. It doesn’t matter if you are buying an existing build or are looking to buy a brand new house, no doubt you will have a super long list of things to buy and an idea of how you want each room to look and feel.

If you are moving into a preexisting house you will be able to visit a few times before you move in, to measure up and work out what needs to go where. This is the perfect time to take a recce of the current state of the flooring that is down. You will be able to assess the colour and if it meets your needs and also the wear and tear it has taken over the years. If the flooring is threadbare or kaput, it is time to get the tape measure out and scribble down your dimensions. If you can get hold of an existing floor plan for the property, even better, we LOVE a floor plan at Frank’s.

On the flip side, you could be moving into a new build that might not even exist yet, it could just be a plot on a map ready to be built. Your developer will want you to go for the flooring they have to offer you, usually at inflated prices and with little in the way of selection.

Don’t just think that you have to go with their options by default, you can get your flooring from wherever you want and installed by whoever you want. Every developer will be able to give you a floor plan for your new house which will have the exact dimensions for each room.

Either way, whatever property type you are buying, this is where the friendly team at Frank’s can help. Armed with a budget in mind, your dimensions or even a lovely floor plan, we can get you the best price for your new home guaranteed. You can get the flooring you want at prices that cannot be beaten.

You will be able to visit one of our stores to take a leisurely walk around checking out the different flooring samples we have available and if you do need to have a chat with one of our sales advisors, someone will be on hand to help answer any questions you have.

Once you have found the flooring you want, we can agree on a date to come and fit your flooring at your convenience, ticking one job off your list

Remember – think floor plan, think Frank’s!
