With our hectic lifestyles and work commitments to contend with, having a low maintenance home is important for many of us, including low maintenance flooring.

After a day’s work, the last thing anyone wants to do is spend hours vacuuming the floor, sweeping or mopping. That’s why at Frank’s we offer a wide range of flooring that is easy to maintain to keep your to-do list shorter and your valuable time longer.

Pop down to your local store and one of our specialists will be happy to help match you with the perfect low maintenance solution.

For now, here are our most recommended flooring types if you wish to keep maintenance to a minimum.

Get the look of hardwood for less

Despite being attractive to look at, hardwood can be high maintenance if you are rough with it. However, LVT can achieve the look of natural wood floors but is far more durable and manufactured to last for years to come.

Furthermore, it’s considerably more affordable compared to hardwood and easy to keep clean with some simple care. You needn’t worry about scratches caused by pets or kids playing, or furniture being dragged across the surface.

Flooring that looks like wood but has the structural advantages of LVT? Sounds good to us!

Hardwood flooring can still be maintained

Depending on the type of homeowner you are, hardwood can prove to be a relatively low maintenance solution. However, if you have children or pets then the wear and tear caused by this might be too much for your floor to take.

Hardwood flooring is pretty low maintenance and durable and will last a long time. From time to time you may need to stain the flooring again if it becomes faded but this isn’t a process that will need to be repeated often.

Carpet has come a long way

Over the years, modern carpet has come a long way. Traditional carpet would have been considered high maintenance due to the need to vacuum regularly. Carpets these days are treated with static, stain and soil-resistant products which allow for easier clean-up.

As well as this, the non-slip surface of carpet makes it ideal for safety if you happen to slip or drop something by accident. Carpet is also one of the least expensive flooring options out there, so if you’re on a budget then it’s ideal for not breaking the bank.

Pop down to your local Frank’s and we’ll be happy to help you find the perfect low maintenance flooring for your home.
