Introducing Hank, the newly appointed Senior Product Tester at Frank’s. Hank’s journey from a curious stray puppy to the flooring store’s beloved expert is nothing short of charming. From the moment he wandered into the shop, Hank’s love for comfort and quality made him the perfect candidate for the job. Here’s the story of how this playful Havapoo became the store’s trusted tester, ensuring every floor meets his high standards of style, quality, and underpaw comfort.
Born some time in the Autumn of 2021 (vets have since given this estimate from dental inspections), Hank the Havapoo was a scruffy pupper with a curious mind and a tail that never stopped wagging. He was a wanderer, exploring the mean streets of Darlo in search of something more; a home and a family he could call his own.
One Winter morning, Hank’s keen sense of smell led him to Frank's The Flooring Store on Russell Street. The scent of soft pile carpets and polished laminate guided him in, where the doors swung open, almost as though they were expecting him (though they were automatic so technically they do this for everyone). Hank wandered in, his tail wagging excitedly as he explored a brave new world of textured flooring, not a bit of old chewing gum or dog poo in sight.
Hank made himself at home on the plushest carpet in the shop, curling up in a cosy corner. The staff tried to find his owner, but Hank was stubborn, the carpets were too good to move his bum off, he had already decided—this was his new home. And he wasn’t going anywhere.
As Hank grew, he began to show a keen interest in the different types of flooring. He listened keenly to conversations from Jimmy, the store manager, learning all there is to learn about floors, whether it was fluffy shag rugs perfect for naps or vinyl floors great for running and sliding, Hank was the expert, he quickly learn to only pee on laminate flooring if he was really desperate because it's easier to clean.
Word spread throughout the stores about Hank’s extraordinary ability to pick the perfect floors. He became the store’s unofficial product tester, giving paws-up approval for only the highest quality flooring. Even Frank was impressed, If Hank couldn't nap comfortably on it, it didn't make the cut for selling to the good people of the North East.
Hank had become such a staple of the store that he was given his first job as Product Tester. He was now responsible for ensuring that only the highest quality floors made it onto the shop’s shelves, he'd sniff, he'd trample, he'd make a mess, all so only the best flooring would be certified Hank Approved.
In January 2025, Hank was officially promoted to Senior Product Tester at Frank's. Now, every single product is evaluated by Hank himself. If Hank approved, customers know it's the best of the best. Frank's passion for carpets is second only to Frank himself, he loves carpets, him.
I’ve got a sensitive tummy, so sometimes I yak up after meals or sneaky snacks. But Frank’s carpets make clean-ups a breeze! One zoomie too fast or a surprise midnight splatter? No problem. My hoomans just scrub it, and poof—good as new! No stains, no smells, just soft carpet perfect for belly flops and post-barf naps.

I had eaten too much kibble and had an accident in the kitchen, it was embarrassing and I didn't want my human to find out so I used some multi-purpose wipes to clean it and she is none-the-wiser. Amazing quality laminate, Hank clearly knows what he's doing, would love to meet him and say thanks/sniff his bum.

I used to sleep on the spare room bed, but was kicked out when my humans needed it, so I was stuck on the floor, it sucked, but since Frank's installed our new carpet I prefer it to the bed. 10/10 for naps. Thanks Hank!

The old carpet was rough on my old toe beans, but Frank's have supplied us a new one that is comfortable and soft on my paws. I walk better, my joints are less achy, and I can go on walks for much longer without needing to stop. Recommended for any sore old boy like me.

I love zooming around the house like a crazy pup, and Frank’s new vinyl flooring makes it SO much better! I can skid across the kitchen like I'm in AC/DC with no trouble at all, perfect for those high-speed chases! My humans don’t understand, but they’re happy the floor is still in one piece!

I’ve got a lot of bones, and I like to stash them around the house. Since Frank’s installed our new carpet, I’ve never had a better place to hide my bones! It’s soft, cozy, and just the right spot for a secret bone stash. 10/10, would bury bones again.
